First and foremost, I’d like to give my heartfelt thanks to Noriko Ogiwara-sensei for writing the story that she most wanted to read. You have done the same for me. 荻原规子先生, ありがとうございます!

Next, I must thank Cathy Hirano for her faithful and tireless work, which has introduced countless readers in North America to the beauty of Japanese novels. Ms. Hirano, the world needs more people like you! And I want to thank Reina Hirano as well for discovering this website and showing it to her mother.

I never thought I’d see the day, but here I am offering up a HUUUGE thank-you to Viz Media, LLC for being so intrepid and daring in taking on the mission of reprinting Dragon Sword and Wind Child. I don’t know how much my gratefulness means to the mega-company that publishes Naruto, Bleach, Death Note, and the like…but I want it to be known that this one book means more to readers like me than all the wildly popular anime/manga that Viz has brought across the Pacific.
